Brynn Bruijn's assignments have taken her around the world and have given her the opportunity to interact with various cultures, their art and design. These experiences show in her work a unique perspective and offer her clients a fresh point of view. A member of ASID and IDS- CQRID, Brynn uses her design skills in styling photographs for her clients. Her design background is a true asset when working with builders and interior designers.
Garden and food photography are a natural extension of her photographic skills. When she is not behind the camera, you will find her in the garden or cooking a new recipe from her last assignment. Brynn has incorporated her ability to shoot gardens and food for many of her clients such as Food & Wine, Travel & Leisure, Town & Country and Aramco World. She was a student at the famed cooking school Ritz Escoffer, in Paris, The Kings Cooking School of Morocco, attended the Oriental Cooking School in Bangkok and spent three months photographing food in Indonesia.
In addition to interior and food photography, Brynn's documentary work in Tibet has received international acclaim. Nearly two decades have passed since she was asked by the Dali Lama to document Tibet's fading Buddhist art. During a six- month expedition to Chinese- controlled Tibet, she came to focus on the lushly colored murals she found in the Shalu monastery. There she recorded the artistic jewels of this ancient faith by only candlelight and captured a historical record of Tibet's past.
