Derek Sanford is the videographer and owner behind Captured Minds Entertainment. He founded Captured Minds Entertainment in 2001 to finally provide an affordable solution for any digital video need and to give a more youthful and fun approach to video production.
Recognizing the need for innovative digital video, he set out to do something different: create a product that actually doesn't look amateur and boring. His award winning background as a videographer and editor in the digital video industry allows him to create videos that are stylish, yet still timeless and real.
As a former videographer/ editor for a popular local real estate television show and a Digital Video/ TV Communications graduate from Daytona Beach Community College, Derek integrates his love for videography and his creative techniques into his videos, which gives them their unique style.
With 11 + years of experience in shooting and editing digital video and 6 + years of formal education, Derek has done work for some of the top companies in the country which include: ESPN2, PBS, Mentor Films, Kavich Reynolds Productions, Modern Media, Orlando Advertising Inc., and Car People Marketing, Inc. He has also produced a national promotional video for a Fortune 500 Company.
