Fr. Jakob is an ordained Catholic priest who is the Parochial Vicar of the Church of the Holy Paraclete in Providence, RI.

He has a BA in Religious Studies from Stonehill College, a MA in Theology from Providence College, he studied at the GTU~Berkeley, CA, and he is almost complete with his JD from Southern New England School of Law. Fr. Jakob has studied around the country and outside the country in the Middle East and Peru.

He would love to offer the Sacrament for more people in the area. The Roman Church has made it very difficult for people to get married but our Old Catholic tradition allows us to marry many of the people who Rome rejects. We require one spouse to be a Baptized Christian before the wedding. Other than that, we marry divorced people and homosexual couples.

There are not many Catholic priests in Rhode Island who offer the Sacrament of marriage as freely as we do.

At our Church, 100% of the marriage offering goes directly to the parish to serve it's ministries. The offering is tax deductible.

Our one main requirement is that one party be Baptized a Christian before the wedding. Confirmation is not a requirement for marriage.

Availability        Any reasonable place indoors or outside in God's creation. The wedding does not need to be in a Church.
 
Pricing        $350 for the wedding which includes plenty of contact through email or phone and times to meet in person to plan the wedding. Rehearsal we ask for a $100. Weddings and rehearsals are tax deductible. $50 if the priest has to travel more than an hour in each direction, to cover the costs of travel.
 
Other Details        Parishioners get their weddings for free.
