Fountain Plaza

The plaza (often used for movie sets) is not just a vast granite triangle. Landscaped with hundreds of planters overflowing with impatiens, camellias, rhododendrons and trees, it's a lovely spot for a champagne or cocktail reception and a wedding ceremony. Exchange vows in front of the fountain, then take wedding photos on the sculpted granite steps. During the Christmas season the plaza is like a holiday stage set, and from the restaurant you have a front-row seat. Eight-foot translucent red ornaments are clustered in stacks and theatrically lit outside the atrium windows. Glowing antique lampposts are draped with gold garlands and decorated with giant sugar cones, huge colored balls, large red berries and red fiberglass bows. This brilliant scene makes every holiday event here even more festive.
