The deconsecrated Catholic Mission is surrounded by a rare wildflower preserve. One of the few carpenter Gothic churches to survive in its original setting, the redwood structure was built in 1888 to meet the spiritual needs of the new town of Tiburon established with the advent of the railroad.
The original window above the entry depicts St. Hilary, patron of scholars and namesake of Hilarita and Ylaria Reed, heirs to the Mexicam land grant. The chandeliers are electric replicas of the coal- oil lamps. The bell on the tower is rung to celebrate weddings.
The old wood, arched ceiling and size combine to provide perfect acoustics. There is a small concert grand piano.

For weddings, 50% of the rental fee is required to reserve your date. The rental fee is $1,500, which includes 3 hours (maximum) on the day of the event for wedding photography, setup and ceremony time. Any time over 3 hours runs $300/hour extra. A refundable security deposit of $500 is required; additional insurance is strongly recommended. One half of hte rental fee is due at the time of booking. The remaining fees are due 60 days prior to the event. Fees for other types of events and photo/movie shoots are negotiable. We ask that you join Landmarks as a member and your rental fee will be tax deductible.

Suitable for weddings, name day celebrations, memorial services, concerts, recitals and auditorium meetings.
Parking provided for 6 vehicles, including one handicap space. The road is private and restricted. Guests must be shuttled from prearranged parking area.
No smoking indoors or outdoors anywhere in the preserve.
