Stately pines and panoramic views mark this forested retreat for groups of 10-95. Located 4,000 feet above the Central Valley, on an expanse of 450 acres in the heart of the Mother Lode, the camp affords cool relief from the summer heat.
A versatile facility, CGC offers full meal service and varied accommodations. Just 40 minutes east of Auburn, it is easily accessible for year-round use.
Claar House, perfect for retreat groups of 10-20 people, has 4 rooms with private baths and a 3-bed room with shared hall bath. Groups may choose to do their own cooking.
The Bobbitt area includes the main meeting lodge with adjoining kitchen, bedroom, bathroom, and large deck. Groups may elect to do their own cooking. There is one additional meeting building and an outdoor barbeque area. The 8 heated cabins are each equipped with a full bath and bunk beds for 10.
Irvin Dining Hall, completed in 2005, seats 160 guests and includes a conference room which seats 25.
A beautiful amphitheater, with a lighted stage and bench seating for up to 200, serves a multitude of program needs. The hillside setting offers a spectacular view of the Sierra sunset.
Other recreational attractions include a sparkling pool for warm weather fun, numerous hiking trails, a large outdoor activity platform, and play courts for volleyball and basketball.
