Aurobora Press occupies an historic fire station, built in 1907 with bricks from the rubble of the Great Earthquake of 1906. The large doors that once served as egress for the mechanical and horse-drawn fire engines are now glass-paned bays that fill the gallery with natural light.
The space, with its gleaming wood plank floors and 16 foot ceilings, blends the charm of old San Francisco with the sophistication of contemporary art. Interior walls are either exposed brick or sheet-rocked and painted crisp white. The studio workshop at the rear of the building can be set up for a buffet, food preparation, music or as an extension of the gallery space.
With its relaxed yet stylish setting, Aurobora Press lends itself to any type of reception, from an elegant sit-down dinner to a casual cocktail party.
