Formerly the Shannon Court, Hotel Adagio has recently reopened after a 6-month renovation. Cortez, our new restaurant and bar, is now open. The latest from Bay Area wunderkind, Pascal Rigo, the restaurant is named for famed Spanish explorer Hernando Cortez. This dramatic downtown restaurant and bar offers creative Mediterranean cuisine featuring bold flavors, small plates, and unique artisan breads. Priced between $6 and $16, dishes include Date & Mint Crusted Rack of Lamb with Garlic Chive Puree, and Olive Oil Poached Yellow Tail with Shallots Crackling in Thyme Foam. Elegantly paired with fine spirits, desserts include Apple Confit and Mascarpone Napoleon with Phyllo Crisp and Olive Jam (and glass of port), and Pear & Hazelnut Brown Butter Cake with Chestnut Ice Cream (and Armagnac snifter). Cortez serves breakfast and dinner daily.
There are 171 spacious guestrooms on 16 floors; including 2 Penthouse Suites and Junior Suites. Eighty rooms feature dramatic San Francisco city views. Each guestroom features 2-line cordless speaker phone with voice mail, complimentary high-speed Internet access, CD players, 24 inch Sony Wega High Density TV with premium channels, pay-per-view movies, Nintendo games, honor bar with refrigerator, hairdryer and Aveda bath amenities. Hotel Adagio is an ADA accessible hotel. Non-smoking rooms are available.
