Elodia Tate grew up in a culturally diverse neighborhood in San Jose, California. She worked for several years in the mortgage industry, owning and running two small mortgage brokerage offices. She has written for newsletters specializing in the mortgage arena for homeowners. In the early 1990's, Elodia moved to Modesto, California and discovered she had lupus. She chose a natural approach to managing her health.
Since 1995, Elodia Tate has been coaching others to better health! She found a way to use herbs, and supplements to manage her health challenge, lupus / SLE, she has been sharing her knowledge joyfully and humorously with others. She speaks to groups of all sizes and health coaches one on one. Elodia favors using humor mixed with real statistics to teach. Elodia believes in focusing on your "Health Goals", rather than the problem, to reverse or manage disease.
In January 2004 Elodia was blessed and honored to release an inspirational best-selling book entitled, "Open My Eyes, Open My Soul", co-created with Yolanda King, daughter of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., with a foreword written by Coretta Scott King.
Elodia's four children have an ethnicity that is a blend of African-American and her own Hispanic, Caucasian and Native American descent. Living with them as a multicultural family and seeing firsthand the blessings, as well as the issues, of diversity are what have brought about her urge to bring awareness and enlightenment so that we may walk a more peaceful path on this planet.
