Her Majesty's Noyse is a unique plucked- string duo combining classical guitar with the rarely heard liuto cantabile, a ten- string historical instrument and a member of the mandolin family. Her Majesty's Noyse concertizes regularly throughout the Bay Area, providing striking arrangements of early music (pre- 1750) that will delight your guests and bring distinction and elegance to your special event.
Repertoire spans over 800 years of music history, and includes carefully selected, exquisite masterpieces from the late Medieval period, such as the Cantigas of King Alfonso X "The Wise" (1221-1284); the Renaissance period, including music from the court of Queen Elizabeth I (1533-1603); and the Baroque period, including delicate arrangements of the virtuoso dance suites of J.S. Bach (1685-1750).
