My name is Dmitry and I am a professional, Russian-trained puppeteer. I received my MFA in puppetry in Moscow, and in the last 20 years, I have been entertaining and enriching the lives of children and adults all over the United States. I have performed my shows for birthday parties, schools, day cares, libraries, and in assisted living facilities, Adult Day Health Centers including Goldman Institute on Aging and Jewish Home, subsidized housing units, and hospitals.
The puppet variety show consists of 3-5 minutes comedy sketches, accompany by music and songs from different country. The audience sees large size marionettes, hand puppets, and wooden "limberjack" puppets. The puppets dance, and present a humorous "Cowboy story."
My partner and wife Lana has performed and entertained for children, adults, and seniors in practically every type of communal and celebratory gathering one can have, including kids and adult's birthdays, theme parties, business and corporate events, weddings, etc. She is classically trained musician. Observers of her events often declare that her party hosting leaves participants energized, and that "you can't stay sitting down when there is this much fun going on around you!"
Lana's performance incorporates in puppet show or she plays her own show.
Over the years we have found that people really enjoy our games, activities, songs, and of course, the puppets.
Scheduling is very flexible: since the show is a variety show, it can be as short as 10 minutes and as long as 4 hours, depending on your needs. We can gear our show for special themes, such as holidays (Christmas, Hanukah, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Valentine Day, Chinese New Year, Independence Day, etc) and cultural events (Fiesta, Filipino and Russian parties, etc.)
