Special event planning is an art, and art is effortless. It is a process and a consolidated effort by the planner and client to create an atmosphere of excitement and fun. We create the scene, we sponsor your activities, we serve you food, fun and most importantly, memories.
I will never forget the excitement whenever my parents were planning one of their parties. The guests would arrive, there were hugs, kisses, and good cheer along with the aroma of delicious food filling the air. Laughter, stimulating conversation and great fun was had by all, especially me in my pajamas watching the whole thing.
Special events are exciting and fun, even for those who plan them as I do. Once I was part of the planning for a famous gentleman on the occasion of his 65th birthday party in New York City. It was in a huge venue, attended by many celebrities and social notables. The event was spectacular, with beautiful flowers, glorious food and all the buzz of a really important event. After the event was up and running and my work was complete, I took the stairs up to a place overlooking the party so I could watch. It wasn't long before I noticed a man not far from me, looking down and watching the party just as I was. He turned, smiled at me and said, "fun stuff, right?" It was none other than legendary party planner and Studio 54 creator, Steve Rubell. It doesn't get better than that!
