Kalish Photography has been in business since 1970, specializing in people photography. We have photographed celebrities such as 49ers' coach Bill Walsh, actress Alicia Silverstone, actor Leonard Nimoy, golfer Juli Inkster, and many others.
Mostly, though, we spend our days photographing weddings, Bar Mitzvahs, and portraits of all sorts, whether family groups, graduations, business and corporate headshots, or public relations events.
Our photographic style is relaxed, natural and candid, preferring to let people "be themselves," as opposed to stiff, overly posed work. Instead of commanding our subjects to smile, we engage them in conversation, and find that when people are enjoying themselves, they forget they are being photographed momentarily, allowing us to capture their real personalities at their best.
We photograph all over the San Francisco Bay Area, and can also be hired for "destination" weddings wherever you wish.
