I work unobtrusively in an illustrative style to catch all of the details and excitement of your wedding with as little prompting as possible. My pictures are a motley collection of fun and subtle, spontaneous and staged, vibrant and modest and, most importantly, authentic.
In a mix of photojournalism and posed (considered 'illustrative'), I create images that display the best qualities of your wedding and allow you to completely be yourself. I do photograph formals since they can be a good record of your closest friends and family, but only those that you want.
I am friendly, professional, and patient and create a soothing element to the day. With a sense of humor and a truly positive attitude, I work with you to get exactly the photographic style and feeling that you want.
Chemistry is essential - all weddings with Lindsay Docherty Photography receive a complimentary engagement session because it is so important to me that we connect before the big day. I love my couples and they're not just another set of names on my calendar. I cater my images to you and your personality.
Since packages never truly get you what you want, I offer 6 and 8 hour coverage and add only the items that are important to you. I offer professional prints, stunning magazine and matted albums, artistic canvas prints, creative guest books, high resolution digital negatives, and more.
I am available to shoot locally, nationally, and internationally. Based in San Francisco, I have covered weddings from Lake Tahoe to Los Angeles. My beginnings in North Carolina have given me the opportunity to shoot all over the east coast too, from Connecticut to Florida.
