The Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens offes a unique location for any event. There are numerous sites in the gardens which are ideal for a small wedding ceremony of 25 guests or less. These ceremonies are offered between 10:00am and 4:00pm.
Larger gatherings are held after the museum has closed at 5:00 pm. The museum has a capacity of 150 guests, including entertainment area and dance floor. A ceremony can be held lakeside, followed by a reception and dinner on our terraces or in our beautiful Japanese Ash-lined foyer.
There are many opportunities for large corporate and private events - tours through the gardens and galleries followed by receptions, dinner or a presentation in our tiered-seating theater with a capacity of 225.
The museum is closed to the public on Mondays which offers the possibility of a wonderful location for a private luncheon and stroll through our tranquil Japanese Gardens. Your guests will enjoy the bridges, ponds, waterfalls, overlooks with majestic vistas, garden gates, meditative stops with benches, rock accents, stone lanterns, ceramic tile ornaments, and other historic and decorative points. They can also discover our rare Bonsai collection that includes specimens which are three and four hundred years old.
