The Gingerbread House, with its unique charm, begins with a spacious main house, built in 1987. The house sustained some damage in the floods of 1994 but was purchased by a wealthy contractor who totally gutted the house and replaced the walls, fireplace, and doors with beautiful solid mahogany wood & beams throughout the house. When guests walk into the house, the comment we hear most is wow. Up the mahogany staircase is the bridal room to freshen up and view her reception from the balcony overlooking the palm trees, pool, and the flowing water of the creek.
Outside of this magnificent house is a huge deck over looking the oak trees and flowing waters of the Kinchafoonee. Down the stairs of the deck is a dock on the water with bench seating allowing you and your guest can enjoy the calm waters flowing past your feet. Across from the deck is a large pool of blue water surrounded by a wrap around wood deck and soft lit palm trees. Background music of your choice is piped in from the rocks located in the palms.
At the front of the pool a breezeway takes you into the guest pavilion. This Pavilion is complete with a wet bar and is ideal for having a DJ and dancing. Surround Sound has been installed in the main house, deck, pool area, and guest pavilion for your listening pleasure.
Jill and Dewayne moved here from Savannah, Georgia where they have worked in the wedding industry for over 20 years.
