Tony has been drawing caricatures at private parties, weddings, corporate events and conventions for over 21 years. He has been ranked as one of the best black and white caricature artists in the world by the National Caricaturist Network, having won first place in the Best Black and White technique category in their 2005 International competition and convention, among other awards. Tony prefers to draw his caricatures complimentary, instead of insulting or cruel. He is also a fine art portrait artist, so his caricatures tend to be more life- like, but with a lighthearted sense of humor.
"I don't try to provoke, demean or insult with my caricatures. Even though there is a place for the more extreme styles of caricature, at parties and events it is my job to make sure everyone has a great time, whether they are being drawn or watching me draw. I want the person to save and even cherish the drawing, not hide it in the closet. In the end, I want the person to smile at what they see."
Tony can be seen as a regular at the Mossy Creek Barnyard Festival in Warner Robins, Georgia and Praters Mill Fair in Dalton, Georgia. He has also done many celebrity birthday parties and corporate clients such as: American Cancer Society; Coca Cola; Major Leagues All Star Baseball Fan Fest; Bad Boy Productions and The Ryan Cameron Foundation... just to name a few.
