These gardens, filled with seasonal plants and rare sculptures, offer an unforgettable setting for a wedding. Up to 500 guests can be accommodated, and full catering, liquor, and reception services are available.
For couples looking for a more intimate, indoor wedding, the Allerton Mansion is ideal, with a capacity of up to 125 people for wedding ceremonies, receptions, and rehearsal dinners. The mansion was built in 1900 by Robert Allerton, son of Samuel Allerton from Chicago, and was then donated to the University of Illinois in 1946, along with the 1,500 acres of forest and meadow that make up Allerton Park.
The Allerton Mansion features oak flooring, antique wood paneling, carved-wood ceilings, marble fireplaces, antique furnishings, a grand staircase, and expansive windows that capture natural light and views of the surrounding landscape.
Catering is provided on site, and guest rooms for up to seventy overnight guests are also available. Several all-inclusive wedding packages and other services and options are fully customizable to suit the unique needs of every couple and their guests.
