The Commonwealth Museum is a Massachusetts history museum located in the Archives Building on Columbia Point.
The Patriot Room is a versatile space with full-length windows overlooking The JFK Library and Boston Harbor. This space is capable of meeting your guest’s diverse needs. With a charming balcony this room is a wonderful setting for a lecture, workshop, banquet dinner, bridal shower, bar mitzvah, class, cocktail reception, or any gathering! Included with this and other indoor space is the added bonus of free chair and table rental and set up. Our exclusive booking system guarantees that you will have the facility to yourself. A conference room is available to smaller meetings or breakout sessions.
The Commonwealth Museum Event and Conference Center is one of only a handful of waterfront properties in Boston. Our seaside grounds are the ideal location for a tented clambake, cocktail reception, rehearsal dinner, corporate family outing, or delightful banquet dinner. The perfect location for your outdoor event, the Grounds can host small intimate parties and large events alike. There are no sound ordinances at night! Tents, chairs, tables and other rentals are not provided with your rental on the Grounds.
Rent both the outdoor and indoor facility, including the lobby, access to the Commonwealth Museum, the Patriot Room and the Museum Grounds for your event. The total building capacity for an indoor reception is 400.
In November 2007, a new exhibit will be opening! It will display rare historical treasures from the vaults of the Massachusetts Archives. The design will include state of the art technology, interactive displays, and a setting that evokes the atmosphere of early Massachusetts. Our Common Wealth, as the exhibit is titled, is designed to be kid-friendly but interesting to all.
