Teacup Wedding was created in response to frequent requests to have marriage ceremonies performed at our 1870's, historic Greek Revival residence at 5347 Plymouth Road in Dixboro, north east Ann Arbor.
Our property has unique and picturesque locations, indoors and out. A clematis and wisteria covered garden trellis, a beautiful oak fireplace in the parlor, the Tai Chi studio and the recent addition of 350 English Lavender plants.
The gardens were featured on the 2005 Ann Arbor Garden Tour. Teacup Wedding is very much "green" in an ecological sense as well. We offer a very unique and earth-friendly alternative. When couples are married here at Teacup Wedding, the only thing needed is a Washtenaw County marriage license. Everything else is in place and ready for an intimate marriage ceremony without the stress and expense of unnecessary, one-time-use purchases that are so often part of wedding planning.
At Teacup Wedding, we're prepared to accommodate marriage ceremonies with very little notice, in fact we refer to Teacup Wedding as an "elegant alternative" to a civil ceremony at the court house. Karla, Marriage Officiant and co-owner, performs beautiful, memorable
ceremonies. Indoor ceremonies take place in the open, sunlit, Zen-style Tai Chi studio or at the beautifully decorated, parlor fireplace. Outdoor ceremonies are held year-round - even in the snow!
A petite wedding cake and photographs make for a very special and memorable marriage ceremony.
