I’m Ricky Nalett and I’m a pianist based in the Lansing Area. I’m 46 years old and have been performing for over thirty years. In addition to the normal restaurant/lounge/ hotel engagements, I have done hundreds of weddings, corporate parties, and private parties (I performed 285 dates in 2005).
My style is very expressive without being over the top. I perform all styles on the piano but lean towards jazz standards (Frank Sinatra, Nat King Cole, etc.), songs from musicals, and contemporary ballads.
The jazz standards I perform are very recognizable as are all songs I perform. I’m there for the people, not to stroke my ego. I provide high quality entertainment, and maybe even more important, I am reliable. The last thing you need is a musician showing up late, dressed inappropriately and not ready to do the gig! If a piano is not available, I can bring my own electronic piano with a small PA system.
Although I’m based in the Lansing area (DeWitt to be exact) I am ready to travel. I do several gigs a year on Mackinac Island and all over northern Michigan.
