It has no other guests running through in bathing suits on their way to the pool to shatter the atmosphere. It feels much more like your private, and very special, event, because you do have it all to yourself and your guests.
Having your wedding, reception and dance here simplifies many things, and reduces many of your costs. A Friend’s House provides all the decorations you will need, along with the equipment you’ll need, and we do all the “set- up” and “tear down” of those decorations, reception tables and chairs, and dance facility. You and your guests simply come and enjoy your very special day.
The only traditional items you’d need to purchase would be the bride’s attendants, bouquets and other corsages and boutonnieres, and guest book. We have a beautiful display cake for your use to which you may add your own cake top, or flowers to the top, or use ours. If you want to supply your floral decorations you can (and we’ll still put them up for you) or your own centerpieces, that’s fine. But you don’t need to. Planning to hand out bubbles to your guests? Disposable cameras? Just bring them out before the wedding day and we’ll put them out where you want them; one less thing for you to think about.
We can’t tell you how many people comment on just how “magical”, “fairy- tale- like”, and “enchanted” the grounds seem: the white canopies encompassing the skirted- in- white tables for the reception on the front lawn, the magnificent old house as the backdrop, with the weeping willow trees adding their own touches to the enchantment of it all. “It just feels magical… the stuff that dreams are made of.”
