Fermata Nowhere is a professional Vocal Jazz sextet in Duluth, MN. All six members studied vocal jazz at the University of Minnesota in Duluth, and were part of UMD's highly regarded vocal jazz ensemble, "Lake Effect", when the group was cited by “DownBeat Magazine” winning the coveted award for “Outstanding Performance” of college vocal jazz choirs in 2006.
A large part of the group's repertoire consists of Christmas/Winter arrangements, making us the perfect choice for entertainment at your holiday party or Christmas carolers at your outdoor festival.
Fermata (for short) also performs a growing number of secular, pop, and off-beat pieces. In fact, the group's baritone, Eric Hagmann, is an excellent composer/arranger and can even arrange songs tailored to your entertainment needs!
Fermata Nowhere will provide an energetic and musically expressive program that will suit any occasion.
