Imagine getting married in a charming historic church surrounded by beautiful landscapes and gardens and getting taken away by a horse-drawn carriage. The Old Peace Chapel offers this and so much more to those couples wanting to tie the knot.
The Old Peace Chapel is located in the Boonesfield Village at the Historic Daniel Boone Home. The Chapel was built in New Melle during the 1800's and was originally a general store. At the turn of the century, the building was bought by a German Evangelical congregation and remodeled in the one of a kind chapel it is today.
The chapel is available for weddings, vow renewals, and baptisms and can be held any day of the week (with the exception of certain holidays and special events). The chapel can seat up to 100 guests comfortably. Couples also have access to the bridal room, choice of ministers and organists, and help of a wedding coordinator. Parking is provided and free to the wedding party and guests.
