Portrait photography - Heather prides herself in creating portraits that are entirely different from those created in the studio. She wants your portrait to be very different from what she has created for other families. This is not cookie-cutter photography!
Heather has created portraits in her client's backyards, at the beach, and at local parks. Upon scheduling a session, Heather will consult with you to select a location that suits you!

The photography of the event should be special as well, capturing the actual moments and beauty of the day as it unfolds. At Heather Swanner Photography we believe in being quiet observers, capturing you at your best when you are unaware of the camera. We create beautiful images without disturbing the natural flow of events, similar to a magazine photographer covering a story.
Heather looks for the moments that tell the story of your once-in-a-lifetime day so your wedding album is entirely different from any other couple's album. People feel very comfortable with Heather and therefor are able to just let go and have a good time - so when everything is over the happy couple has their true memories preserved for a lifetime, with no artificial posing to disrupt their special day. Heather loves shooting weddings, but she limits herself to 15-20 a year so she can continue to approach each wedding with fresh eyes and a caring heart.
