Guests enter the Powerhouse through the Theodore Roosevelt Park on Columbus Avenue, passing The New York Times Capsule, into the Weston Pavilion - a soaring glass atrium featuring a galactic armillary sculpture. The Powerhouse interior features polished maple wood floors, 12 1/2 foot high ceilings, flexible lighting, and abundant daylight beaming through arched French doors, which open onto the outdoor terrace.
The Powerhouse is now available daily for both daytime and evening events. The space accommodates banquets and receptions of up to 550 guests. Seated luncheons and dinners are available for up to 315 guests, or 300 with dancing. The space also allows for flexible meeting and seminar formats.
Pre-event receptions may be held in the North Galleria, a glass-walled space linking the Powerhouse to the Rose Center and overlooking the Arthur Ross Terrace. Weather permitting, receptions may be held outdoors on the Arthur Ross Terrace.
