James Lane Cafe is located at the gateway to East Hampton, New York in the historic Hedges Inn overlooking the Village Green and Town Pond. Each season has its own ambiance. Fall and winter its a more intimate spot with our three fireplaces burning daily. In the spring our beautiful tent is attached to the main dining room bringing the outdoors inside. Our gardens start with tulips and daffodils in the spring and then our lush summer gardens come into bloom.
The James Lane Cafe is part of the Palm Restaurant Corporation. Our dishes are a little more eclectic but we have the same great steaks and jumbo lobsters as The Palm. We also participate in the Palm's 837 Club Frequent Diner Rewards program. Our catering manager and staff have years of experience planning and executing events for groups from ten to over one hundred.
