We are an arts and culture center occupying three floors in a renovated loft building in East Wiliamsburg, located in New York's fastest growing art community.
We are two blocks from the L train, which is a 12 minute ride to Union Square. We are a 5 minute drive from the
Brooklyn-Queens and Long Island Expressways.
The building contains three floors of newly renovated factory space. There are two floors of artist-in-residence live / work studios and a single floor serving as a community arts center, which also hosts events on the roof during the warmer months.
The arts center is composed of several distinct rooms ranging in size from 500 to 3,000 square feet, with large walls of windows, high ceilings, prominent beams, and refinished maple floors.
During the week we host a consistent schedule of dance / theater rehearsals, darkroom classes, yoga workshops, nonprofit meetings and community meetings, and internet radio shows. The weekend is reserved for larger public events such as live performances, art shows, dance recitals, concerts, and film screenings, as well as private parties and weddings.
We are a small group that has been involved in the planning, construction, dressing, and managing of the space, and we are open to all thoughtful, organized proposals to use the facility.
