407 West 13th Street is a transformation of an old warehouse space into a glamorous beauty salon that easily becomes an intimate and gorgeous venue. The space is designed to feel like an elegant loft home that blends elements of masculine and feminine, industrial and chic. Beamed ceilings, original columns, and espresso stained oak floors, are combined with 1950s chainmail curtains, vintage Venini chandeliers, and contemporary stainless steel mirrors.
The entire space is 5000 square feet, but is divided to feel more intimate and accomodate parties of different size and type. The main room with the windows is about 2000 square feet. Past a few other rooms is a private 750 square-foot lounge with a movie screen and projector. The lounge is perfect for smaller gatherings, movie screenings, and presentations. It is also the perfect private bride's room for weddings. The lounge can be booked with the rest of the space or separately.
The space has a large full kitchen, dressing rooms, and a bathroom with a marbe double sink and two stalls. It is fully wired for sound, with ceiling and wall speakers throughout. All that's needed is an ipod to plug in to the sound system (also very easy for a DJ to plug in). The lounge has a separate sound system, so you can play different music there if renting the entire space (or watch a movie in the lounge and play music in the main space). The loft is fully air conditioned and there's a freight elevator from the street.
Due to the layout of the space, it can be rented in its entirety, without the private lounge, or just the lounge, to accomodate different size parties and budgets.
