The Smooth Talkers specialize in the up-tempo and positive classic rock music of the Beatles, the Byrds, The Rolling Stones, Paul Revere and the Raiders, The Monkees, and others- fun and exciting pop music that appeals to a broad age group and is perfect for a wide variety of occasions.
The Smooth Talkers take pride in their painstakingly accurate renditions of 60s classics, delivered in exciting and dynamic performances that exhilarate audiences.The band is led by veteran guitarist John Covach, who is also a member of Rochester’s 28if as well as the prog- rock recording band Land of Chocolate. John is Professor of Music at the University of Rochester and Eastman, and host of WRUR’s Radio Rock.
Covach is joined by vocalist Mike Norton, bassist/ vocalist Jim- Jimmy James, guitarist/ keyboardist Jason Titus, and drummer John Cummings. These five experienced veteran musicians conduct themselves and their business in a thoroughly professional manner at all times. You can count on this band to provide first- rate music and to reliably follow through on all dimensions of the service they provide.
