To describe the sound of Tres Blaq, you will use the words Philly International, funk, Motown, adult contemporary, rock and rhythm and blues Tres Blaq is a band consisting of musicians Michael Tingle (Mike T.) on guitar, Craig Hodges (Spanky) on bass, Dana Barnum (Dizz) on drums and Earl Lassiter (Lassiter) vocals.
After performing and touring with artists such as Billy Paul, Charles Earland, the Delphonics, Intruders, Hearts of Stone, Peoples and Gil Sanders, the members of Tres Blaq decided to develop their own sound- both cover and original and take their future into their own hands. Some of the music covered includes Kool and the Gang, Earth, Wind and Fire, Lenny Kravitz, Usher, Kem, Maxwell and Luther Vandross. The members of Tres Blaq believe that for them to be successful they must be passionate about their craft.
