Volitant Gallery, as a ground-breaking and adventurous contemporary art gallery in Austin, opened its doors on April 15th, 2006 at 320 Congress Avenue (southwest corner of 4th & Congress).
The ambitious mission to share both regional and international contemporary art with Austin continues with “The Long Drive South”. In addition to the work with international and national artists, Volitant seeks to nurture and celebrate Austin’s local art scene, which constitutes an important geographic contingent of artists whose work comprises a rich and significant addition to the greater American scene.
