Our capacity at the McClendon House is 125 people. Guests can mingle throughout the house enjoying the rich history all around them or wander outside, weather permitting, and walk around the lovely grounds, once filled with a vineyard, private tennis court and a large garden that fed a family with nine children. With this said, the house’s size also lends itself to the perfect setting for a very private, intimate wedding.
Our newest package, “The Elopement Package” allows you to literally walk into the house on your wedding day and have nothing to worry about. With your input in a few areas, we do it all for you, arranging for the officiate, the flowers, the wedding cake, music and the photographer.
One of the last Eastlake Bracketed Victorian homes left in this area, the Bonner Whitaker McClendon House is also available for tours to the general public as well as educational tours for school age children. This property is full of the rich history that prevailed during the late 1800’s to the early 1900’s.
