The glittering Hyatt Regency Dallas opened on April 15, 1978 and was designed by Welton Becket Associates of Los Angeles. The silhouette of the hotel and the adjoining Dallas landmark Reunion Tower ensure that the Dallas skyline is recognizable worldwide. The ballroom has balconies around the perimeter of the room and multiple hanging points with a 2,000-pound capacity each throughout the open ceiling. Entry vestibules with double-door configurations provide sound and light barriers. The Landmark Ballroom is divisible into four sections allowing for simultaneous meetings. Combined with the existing Reunion and Pegasus ballrooms, Hyatt Regency Dallas boasts 52,600 square feet of ballroom space on one level.
