Playing a variety of classics from Classic Rock, 80’s, R & B, Rock, Motown, some Country and Contemporary Pop /Rock. Vocals and precise harmonies are a primary focus, with 3 of the 4 members being very good stand- alone lead singers.
The group is especially unique in that they have the typical 5 piece band arrangement; bass, keys, guitars, and drums, using only 4 performers. We also have an array of talented sax and horn players available to grow to 6 or 7 pieces with the horn rack.
The countless weddings, company functions, golf tourneys, and theme parties have given the group over 50 years combined experience, insuring a overwhelming success for you next event. We are professional, including punctuality, appropriate attire as desired, and personal attention to each engagement's specific requests.
The Route 66 Band has a 3 state - of - the art sound systems, all Mackie & Yorkville, which includes lighting, always providing the right sized system for the application. They also use MIDI tracks built by Roy Lee where appropriate.
Roy Lee is a studio producer/ arranger; lead vocalist; keyboardist; guitarist; and award winning song writer, recognized by both Billboard Magazine and the State of Texas. Rusty Stone, the vocalist & guitarist, has 30 years' experience and over a decade of working with the hottest bands in Texas and in LA. Mike Andries, on drums, was formerly with the group Sundance. Heather Moon, providing vocals, has 10 years of experience performing in the Houston area.
