Veramar Vineyard is comfortably ensconced at the end of a quiet country road. From its stately Italian-Mediterranean architecture to its cheerful garden patio, this family winery exhibits a charm you'd be hard-pressed to find anywhere else in the area. There is practically no event that this versatile venue can't handle corporate dinners, private parties, seminars and family outing.
Veramar Fountain Courtyard is immediately adjacent to the winery itself. Pass through the green gates, and you'll find yourself in the courtyard with a dramatic view of the Blueridge Mountains. This area consists of a paved patio bordered by beds of assorted flowers, an appropriate setting for small parties or pre-dinner drinks and hors d'oeuvres. Nearby is a large gazebo where wines for special events are served under an arbor near the Notron grapevines. You glide past a bubbling fountain and through the garden, toward an ornate pergola. A white pergola use for the small event or wedding ceremony where couples often exchange wedding vows is set at the bottom of the hill with a lawn walkway to separate the courtyard from the larger event space, a vast green lawn where tables and chairs are set up-with umbrellas.
To the right, the Veramar Villa contains a spacious, beautifully appointed Country Inn. A small patio off this Villa overlooks the vineyard and rolling hills, and is a favorite spot for photos. The winery's event coordinator likes to describe their facility as being "family style with a touch of elegance".
