Alexandra Phillips, Soprano, a native of Vienna, Virginia, is a recent graduate of the University of Tennessee in Knoxville with a Master’s degree in vocal performance, and a graduate of the Eastman School of Music.
She most recently performed Joseph Schwantner’s Sparrows with The Contemporary Music Ensemble in Knoxville, where the Knox News Sentinel hailed, “After getting past the clashing sounds of the opening, I can’t imagine anyone singing this gentle, atmospheric piece with its glistening interior spaces more gorgeously than did soprano Alexandra Phillips.” She has also recently sung the role of ‘Amy March’ in Mark Adamo’s Little Women with Knoxville Opera, as well as ‘Jenny Slade’ in Knoxville Opera’s production of Roman Fever during the 2005 Rossini Festival.
