Carolina Cupcakery specializes in gourmet cupcakes and other cup-sized treats, using the most natural ingredients they can find. Bakers create 8-10 varieties fresh from scratch daily, as inspired by everything from retro faves to cocktail drinks. They spike one (with liqueur), stuff one (with pie), and stack one (with whipped creams) every day.
They use antibiotic and hormone-free butter, non-GMO flour, sugar, fruits and real extracts. Mixes and preservatives are never used here.
Wedding towers filled with lavishly decorated cupcakes are the bakery's main product, but they are just as likely to cater corporate meetings and children's events, too.
The Cupcakery also delivers wholesale-priced cupcakes for businesses that host parties (not for resale) and they host childrens baking classes and parties, themelves.
"We wanted to create a business that makes people happy by providing a natural alternative to grocery store desserts" says owner Dawn Eskins.
In addition to regular and giant cupcakes, they also do full-sized cakes, scones, muffins and Kolaches.
Their biggest success has come from baking for the special needs market. People with gluten allergies, diabetes and dairy allergies find great-tasting options here that they can eat, safely!
