I am not a Mall Santa Claus, which means I interact with the people I visit, I do not just sit for photo opportunities. I've designed my web site to answer your questions about my policies, approach to the holiday, and how much fun it would be to have me come to your home gathering, company party, or corporate event.
There is a link on the front page that has all of the "Handy Hints" for a visit from Santa Claus. There are also many pictures on my website. If you click on them they expand and you can even print them out to share with others. Before I arrive, I call my contact to let them know I am about to appear so they can get the people together inside the party. Once I'm there, I like to enter the room with a big, Ho, Ho, Ho! As I sashe' around the room jingling my bells I like to assess how the children are accepting me.
I do not like to approach them right away if they are afraid. I like to have the children that are afraid see other children either shake my hand or give me a hug. I also like to give special attention to senior adults because Santa Claus brings back so many special memories for them and Santa Claus affects them in so many different ways. Then depending on the group that is in attendance, pass out presents and pose with the children or families for photographs as I interact with each personally, remember my background is in child care and I've been doing this a long time. I know what small children usually like, what tweens and teens don't(not to sit on Santa's lap), and yes of course the elderly(they love the man in the red suit).
