If the walls of Beermann's could talk, you would no doubt hear stories of fortunes made and lost. Echoes of socialites and scoundrels whisper through the halls, painting a colorful and odd history of those who have gathered here over the past century. They came for gold, copper, clay, cattle, and crops. The Independent Order of Odd Fellows (IOOF) and the Masons took great pride in erecting our fine building in 1864. Beermann's has honored their labors by faithfully restoring this historic hall to enchanting Victorian splendor.
Beermann's Lodge Hall, on our second floor, remains much as it was in 1864, with its early Victorian Italianate arches and tin ceiling. And it was just that, a Lodge Hall, the place to meet and greet, just as it is today. A panorama of historic, painted scenes graces the walls while imposing, nostalgic antler chandeliers shed a glow on guests enjoying the Lodge Hall's Cowboy Cuisine, a creative menu with an abundant selection of steaks.
The romantic ballroom, exquisite roof garden and stately boardrooms host banquets, weddings and a weekly nostalgic afternoon tea that rivals the Ritz. The elegant Empire Ballroom completed in 1904 was once graced with a small balcony housing an organ and impressive tin ceiling. Now, it boasts a grand and imposing balcony with a gilded ceiling, and it remains the quintessential setting for festivities.
