Charter Sails operates a sailing charter service out of Monmouth County, New Jersey, at the entrance to the Jersey Shore and only 35 minutes from NYC. We typically sail in Lower New York Bay with the Manhattan skyline and Sandy Hook as our backdrop. Because of our proximity to the Atlantic ocean, offshore sailing is easily accessible. We can also sail under the Verrazano Narrows Bridge into New York Harbor past the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island.
We recently launched our brand new, 41 foot catamaran, the Kathleen D. She has a beam (width) of 23 feet which keeps her extremely stable in all sea conditions. She is US Coast Guard inspected and certified to carry 18 passengers plus two crew. The vessel is available for private parties, business functions, catered dinners, Sunset Sails, etc. Catering and limousine service are available.
We also sail a 34' sloop, Prime Time, which carries up to six passengers for smaller gatherings. We accommodate couples for that "special occocasion".
