When the Beaumont Hotel first opened its doors in 1887 it was described as the “flagship hotel of the western slope of Colorado”. The hotel quickly became a hub for social and political activities with lavish parties held in the Grand Ballroom. However, with decline in tourism in the area, the Beaumont shut its doors in 1964 and fell into a state of disrepair. After being closed for more than 30 years the building was purchased and, sparing no expense, plans began to restore the historic structure to its original elegance and luster.
Today the Beaumont facility houses twelve guest rooms, two restaurants, an on-site spa, and retail shops.
Our guest rooms are elegantly and uniquely decorated and range in size from 300 to over 600 square feet of living space. Each is comfortably equipped with queen beds, large bathrooms, TV and DVD, plus phone and individual temperature controls. The rooms are designed with period furnishings and wall coverings and many include original hotel furnishings that have been restored. All have been designed to maintain the historical significance of the hotel while catering to the needs of today’s guest.
The Beaumont Hotel offers a range of banquet and conference facilities for 2 to 200 people. We have an on-site event coordinator to can assist you throughout your planning process.
Tundra Restaurant is our most popular facility and can cater groups of up to 125 people. Bulow’s Bistro offers an intimate and cozy setting. During the summer take advantage of our outdoor courtyard. Bulow’s Bistro can seat up to 32 people. Ouray Cinema & Theater is an excellent choice for showing video productions or conducting seminars accommodating up to 200 people. here is a large entry that can be used as a reception area. Beaumont Conference Room provides a private meeting area with seating for 12.
