After more than 20 years at the renowned Peter Luger's, chef Arturo McLeod joined forces with fellow Luger alumni, Benjamin Prelvukaj, to create the elegant Benjamin Steak House, located one block from the historic Grand Central Station at the Dylan Hotel. Since opening in 2006, Benjamin Steak House has established itself as one of NYC's premier steakhouses, attracting business professionals and celebrities alike.
Chef McLeod prepares an amazing array of dishes sure to delight gourmands everywhere. The main draw is the steaks, and McLeod is a master at cooking juicy cuts of meat. Six cuts of dry-aged beef are available: from 36-ounce porterhouses to juicy and tender rib eyes to succulent filet mignon. Only the best USDA prime beef is used, and the steak is still sizzling when it's served.
The menu also features delectable non-red meat dishes, such as the extravagant seafood platter, which consists of fresh oysters on the half shell, jumbo shrimp, half-lobsters and juicy lump crabmeat.
The ambiance at Benjamin's is elegant and quite intriguing. Brass chandeliers, soaring ceilings and 10-foot fireplace lend to a swanky Manhattan vibe that is reminiscent of the 40's Big Band era. With an air of old sophistication, one could imagine Frank Sinatra, or any member of the Rat Pack, tucked in one of the dark leather booths, smoking a cigar and sipping on a martini.
The chic, multi-leveled space seats up to 215 guests, and the entire restaurant is available for private parties. Whether it's a corporate event, holiday party, wedding reception or a boisterous family reunion, Benjamin Steak House welcomes groups of all sizes. Its private dining room seats up to 50 guests, and smaller parties may opt for reserving the second level balcony, which seats up to 46 guests and features a full bar and expansive view of the restaurant. No matter the occasion, Benjamin Steak House provides thoughtful and well-executed events tailored to your every need.
Benjamin Steakhouse has received approximately 55 profile views in the last three months.
