White Oak Plantation was built on 22 lush, green acres in the heart of Baton Rouge. Inspired by Houmas House Plantation, the main house, surrounded by 16 magnificent Doric plaster columns and 16" thick solid masonry walls, gives the traditional old fortress appearance that was so popular in the 1800s. Just as travelers did in the 1800s, guests take a step back into the past and enjoy the experience of the Old Deep South as they arrive on the property.
Inside the home, guests will be impressed by the grand stairway and the main parlor with its 26-foot ceiling; 3-tiered, antique crystal chandelier; gorgeous period paintings and antique furnishings. Adjoining the foyer is a private board room/bride's suite.
In our private dining area, guests enjoy the elegance of a Grand French Ballroom, featuring a black and white simulated marble floor, three LeBaron crystal chandeliers with matching wall sconces,
and a sound system offering music to suit anyone's taste. A Banquet Manager oversees our professional waitstaff who are trained to tend to every need of our guests.
