The Martha's Vineyard Preservation Trust is proud to offer the Dr. Daniel Fisher House as the ideal site for your special event. Whether you're planning a wedding reception, a cocktail or dinner party or a small meeting, we are able to accommodate from 10 to 250 guests. Built in 1840, the Fisher House is regarded as one of the finest examples of Federal style architecture on the island. It is centrally located in the charming village of Edgartown, next to the historic Old Whaling Church and within easy walking distance to hotels and inns.
The first floor, impeccably maintained, includes a formal entrance foyer complete with winding staircase, a parlor, a grand hall able to seat 50 comfortably, and an elegant ballroom with a Steinway grand piano. Our fully equipped commercial kitchen enables your caterer to service the event with ease. These sophisticated surroundings are enhanced by the semicircular verandah overlooking the spacious grounds and beautiful gardens. Directly adjacent to the House is the bluestone terrace which can accommodate as many as 150 guests. The newly restored rose garden and pond provides the perfect backdrop for your photographs.
