I have always loved the art of photography, but it wasn't until the birth of my daughter that this love grew to a passion. As a new mom I was eager to photograph every moment of her life but soon tired of the typical 'department store' look. So I decided to take it upon myself to record her most precious moments and it wasn't long before friends and family were asking me to take their pictures.
To me portrait photography isn't just about taking a picture, it's about creating a memory. My goal is to photograph what you know and love about your child, catching them in the simplicity of everyday life. I find the true personality of children can not be expressed through forced smiles and poses.
Photographs should document expressions that come from real emotions, like toothless grins, pouts, or a baby smiling in her sleep. Time goes by so fast, for this reason it's important to turn everyday moments in long- lasting memories that you can cherish forever.
