I hired A Boxed Event for my wedding 4/11. We were super excited to have ABE to do our flowers and draping on the deck at the RiverRoom. When we first met she was very professional, she worked with celebrities and had a portfolio of weddings. However,
for someone to be so on point when we met, I don’t understand what happened or why things were not fulfilled on the wedding day; honestly, I have never felt so taken advantage of. The draping we spent hours discussing, sharing photos and emails, was not at
all what we discussed. We wanted the brick wall exposed because both of our outfits (my dress & his suit) were light color. We wanted the draping to cover a sign on the wall at the RR & drape both sides with the middle brick exposed. We arrive and the draping
is sheer fabric on the ENTIRE wall and the fabric is very light. It was blowing everywhere & it looked cheap. It didn’t cover the sign like we talked about (which was the whole purpose of doing the draping). Also, we were supposed to have pillars for the altar
with a tall arrangement of flowers. We received a tiny angel statue (something that would go in a garden). Again, not at all what we discussed. Also, flowers on the banister were missing. I wanted to cry… actually I did cry. I was reminded by my brother that
I had the love of my life waiting to marry me, and he told me not to worry about it. So , that is what I did. I smiled and walked down the aisle and married the love of my life; we had a great wedding day. After the wedding we contacted ABE to try resolute
the situation and we didn’t hear back until a month later with a promise they would call. We never received a call, never received a resolution and I feel like I was duped. We were told to trust ABE, hindsight 20/20, if I would have known the type of person
I was dealing with, I would have never hired A Boxed Event; they are not professional and lack business ethics. I hope this review helps someone else before they make the same mistake I did.
