Ancestral Blessings is our home and land. We chose the name to honor spirits of this land and the many family and friends who have shared their hard work, energy, and hearts to this wonderful place.
In 1993, James purchased a corn field that he wanted to build his house and barn on. Then, in September of that year, before he had even broken ground on the house or barn, he planted the first tree. Over the years we've added hills, berms, lush lawn areas, two large ponds, thousands of trees, and we're still planting. Ancestral Blessings Tree Farm has matured into a beautiful habitat, a sanctuary with abundant native flora, and a diverse wildlife community.
Ancestral Blessings Tree Farm & Sanctuary is a perfect place for your wedding, reception, or spiritual gathering and is conveniently adjacent to over 150 acres of the Kane County Forest Preserve in Blackberry Township, Elburn, IL. We offer the perfect spot for everything from the ceremony and photos, through the reception.
Need an officiant? We have an ordained minister (non - denominational) and Priestess with over 30 years of experience on site.
