Atwood Ranch is a historic, private vineyard estate in the Sonoma Valley. It features a spacious barn, and expansive lawns, meadows, garden & patio in the midst of vineyards. The restored 1908 Craftsman Farmhouse is available for pre-wedding use by the Bridal party, and a separate building containing a Conference Suite is made available for Groomsmen & Family.
Located in Jack London's Valley of the Moon, the Ranch boasts views across the valley floor of Oak Woodlands, Mayacama & Sonoma Mountain Ranges, vineyards, pastures, and gardens. Horses & cattle are usually in view, as well as a large and varied population of songbirds, hawks, and water fowl. The property includes a 20-acre, premium vineyard of Cabernet Sauvignon, going to Schug Carneros Estate Winery and Cakebread Cellars).
The Barn can accommodate guests up to 160, for a dinner/dance, with DJ; 140, seated, with a band; or, 200+, for a standing reception. The Upper Vineyard can accommodate a tented event for up to 250. The Barn lends itself to a wide range of design options and can take on a sheik, modern loft-feel; or, become a luxurious living room/lounge; or, of course, a classic, rustic barn.
The owners are happy to share their collection of vintage trucks, wagons, and ranch equipment, providing extra ambiance. The in-house planner is a prominent designer, with a vast collection of props, antiques, and accessories.
A range of accommodations is available in nearby Sonoma, Glen Ellen, Kenwood, and Santa Rosa - ranging from world-class destination resorts to friendly, country inns and a variety of vacation rentals.
Atwood Ranch has been a leader, for decades, in the area of sustainable agricultural & fish-friendly farming. A large portion of the site fee supports a wide range of local charities, including the local hospital, emergency medical services, the neighborhood rural elementary school, Valley of the Moon Childrens' Home, Vintage House Senior Center, and many more.
