Nestled on 20 acres in Arizona, on the northern tip of Tempe and just south of Scottsdale, Big Surf has remained an Arizona icon for over 40 years and features dozens of other thrilling water features, all in a safe and family friendly atmosphere.
The waterpark featured the largest wave pool at its inception, and today boasts the third largest of its kind in the world. The Waikiki Beach wave pool holds 2.5 million gallons of water and covers over two acres. Big Surf Waterpark also features a variety of other thrilling tube slides for all ages.
Other features include toddler areas, play pools, three volleyball courts, full concession stands, an ice cream parlor and catering areas capable of hosting groups of up to 3,000 people.
During the offseason months, approximately October to April, the park hosts concerts, weddings, car shows, and other wonderful outdoor events.
